A Few Words About Me

Until better alternatives arrive, I subscribe to a center-left political position; I entertain cosmopolitan identity; I marvel at the vastness of the universe and insignificance of a single soul in the grand scheme of things and appreciate the attempt by science to understand. I am grateful for the improbable luck of being born, and education received that supplied me with tools for thinking. I feel I am duty bound to return the blessings. I am a devotee of ‘great books’ —in the sense the poet W.H. Auden used— for the enrichment of “mind or spirit or personality” to the extent of not imagining life without.

In 2016, I received a Ph.D. from Makerere University, Uganda and wrote a thesis dealing with land rights. I am a published author on peer-reviewed outlets on subjects that lie within the disciplines of law and economics. Prior to the Doctorate, I earned BA (St. Xavier’s college) and MA in Economics (Mumbai University). My academic interests include land rights, legal empowerment, Gender Studies, Social Psychology, and Behavioral Economics.

Professionally, I am engaged in research, training, project management, and Consultancy services. In my part time, I am novice essayist, or I would like to portray myself.
